A new series of macro fluids videography.

Ōra is a metaphor for the idea that everything that surrounds you has an abstract character to it, that abstraction is everywhere all the time, that you’ve always felt it and unconsciously noticed it but that you might never have truly acknowledged it.

Contemplation (part 1)

Contemplation is my first short movie and contains some of my first landscape footage to ever see the light of day since I have started videography. It is in two parts. This first one was recorded during the Meradalir and Litli-Hrútur eruptions of 2022 and 2023. It documents the journey of lava and the extraordinary shapes it takes from the moment it leaves the main crater until it dries out.
I invite you to sit back and contemplate the raw power of a volcanic eruption.

Contemplation (part 2)

Unsuspected from the ground but true natural wonders when seen from above, the Icelandic glacial rivers offer some of the most unique sights in the world.
This second part documents the journey of glacial water, from being frozen to being released in the ocean, displaying a diversity of colourful abstract shapes.
