Who am I?
My name is Clément de Bellefroid. I am a photographer, videographer, and music composer based in Belgium.
Building on a decade of experience as a dedicated landscape and travel photographer, my recent photography expeditions and macro experiments have inspired a transformative shift toward abstract audiovisuals.
This evolving focus has driven me to pursue a professional career centered around a unique photographic style that I continue to refine daily.
Always in search of new ways to uncover the abstract world hidden around us, my work currently revolves a lot around macro photography and videography.
Video provides an ideal platform for merging my love for music with my visual storytelling. Drawing on my extensive experience as a music producer, I've created the original soundtrack for my short film Contemplation, and I intend to compose for upcoming cinematic projects.
Why abstract visuals?
I believe we live in a world overloaded with easy-to-access media, where images tend to resemble each other more and more every day. Diversity in art seems crucial to me in order for it to remain interesting. My objective is to transcend traditional depictions of reality and offer a unique glimpse into the unseen world.
My eye is increasingly drawn to the details of a scene, the unexplored perspectives and unusual patterns and textures. I strive to ignite curiosity, driving viewers to explore and interpret my images in their own unique way.
My art is a journey of discovery, where every viewer can find their own meaning and connection within the abstract visual world I create.
💡 In today’s technological climate, it is worth mentioning that all my images are original photographs, not affected by generative AI (artificial intelligence). No matter how strange the images may look, everything is real.
